Ciao.com Ditutup dan Non Aktif Per 1 Juli 2009

Pada hari Kamis tanggal 18 Juni 2009 saya mendapat kabar yang menggembirakan, karena jerih payah selama bulan Mei di Ciao.com dalam menulis review, merating review dan aktivitas lainnya, dihargai oleh Ciao dengan pembayaran ke Paypal sebesar $25, lumayan buat bayar tagihan internet hehehe.

Namun Berita gembira itu pupus oleh berita menyedihkan. Saat saya login ke Ciao saya mendapatkan pengumuman dari Ciao bahwa mereka telah berintegrasi dengan Bing Shopping (www.bing.com).

Lha koq sedih ?? ya iya lah sedihnya karena setelah tanggal 1 Juli 2009 akses ke domain Ciao akan ditutup, semua aktivitas review, rating dan fitur lainnya tidak akan bisa dilakukan. Oleh karena itu Ciao menyarankan untuk segera mengcopy semua review membernya dengan cara Copy teksnya.

Mengenai pembayaran, Ciao per tanggal pengumuman dipublikasikan, menghentikan sistem reward untuk setiap aktivitas di Ciao. Artinya saldo kita tidak akan mengalami penambahan. Dana yang ada pada saldo kita tidak akan terpengaruh oleh perubahan Ciao ini. Artinya Dana terakhir pada saldo kita yang sudah direquest ataupun belum direquest akan dibayarkan oleh Ciao pada pertengahan Juli dan Pertengahan Agustus Tahun 2009. Termasuk juga buat member yang terkena pemblokiran IP oleh Ciao pada negara-negara tertentu, seperti halnya Indonesia.

Lalu apa keuntungan lainnya dengan diintegrasikannya Ciao dengan Bing ? keuntungan hanya akan didapat oleh yang berdomisili di Amerika dan di Eropa, dengan mendaftar di Microsoft Live dan kemudian berbelanja barang di Bing.com maka akan mendapatkan Cashback Program. Hmm orang Indonesia ggak bisa ikutan program ini dehh..

Jadi ....saatnya kita ucapkan selamat tinggal dan terima kasih kepada Ciao yang telah membayar kita dan saya khususnya selama 4 kali semenjak gabung dengan Ciao. Untuk pembayaran terakhir saya tunggu kabar baiknya, lumayan buat jajan hehehe.

If you live in the U.S., having a Live ID also gives you access to our Bing cashback program with which you can earn cash rewards when you shop with a Bing cashback merchant. If you are based in Europe, our European Ciao shopping communities, including Ciao.co.uk will also welcome you to join us as a member.

As you will not be given access to your reviews on Ciao.com after July 1st, you will need to save your Ciao US reviews manually. You can do this by copying and pasting the text of your reviews into your word processor, and then saving them on your computer. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Concerning payments, we are suspending our reward system as of today. Your account will no longer accrue money for positive ratings, member referrals, or any other awards. The money currently in your account will not be affected by this change. We will be making a final payment request for all Ciao US members in good standing, including those who have been unable to access the site due to regional restrictions. You will not need to make a payment request yourself; we are doing this for you. You should receive your last payments between mid-July and mid-August 2009.

Menurut email tersebut untuk Ciao.co.uk masih tetap ada, namun setelah saya coba bergabung, hambatan untuk orang yang berdomisili di luar Eropa yaitu pembayaran harus menggunakan Nomor Rekening Bank di Inggris. Diluar rekening bank di Inggris pembayaran tidak akan bisa diproses. Capekk dehh...
